Ep111: Writer's Block

Ep111: Writer's Block

Writer's Block is a real thing, but I believe it is a symptom of something else. Whether it is procrastination, the story is broken, or you are trying to write to market and it's "just not you," there are ways to break through the writer's block and get you back to the page.

** Show Notes:

When Can Writer's Block Hit?

• Manuscript is broken

• Procrastination

• Fear

• Not ready to write

• Do I have room right now in my life to write this?

• Situational block

• Burnt out

• Forcing a process that is not your own

Tools:

• Toss it and write a new story

• Start another writing project to switch back and forth to

• Address the "energy" you need for the project; Maybe you're stopping because you've hit the hard/boring part

• Find a way that feeds the story (fill creative well)

• Space and environment are important

• Retreat

• Coaching
